Traditional astrology relies largely on Dasa and Bukthi based on the Moon. ALP gives due importance to the Lagna(Ascendant) by progressing it – covering a 120-year life span with one Nakshatra Pada every 1 year 1 month and 10 days. The result: pin-point timing of life events, consistent across any astrologer who follows the method.

The visionary architect of the Akshaya Lagna Paddhati method. The fourth generation in a lineage of esteemed astrologers, Dr. Pothuvudaimoorthy embarked on his cosmic journey over two decades ago. During a pilgrimage in the Himalayas, resting under a banyan tree, he observed the roots growing and asked: "If the Moon progresses, why not the Lagna?"– the seed of ALP was sown.
Beyond astrology, he is experienced in Pranic Healing, Reiki and Past Life Regression. He has been featured on Vijay TV, Zee Tamil, Jaya Plus, Vendhar TV and Pudu Yugam TV, and has been awarded for his innovative thinking and dedication.
Smt. Arularasi Pothuvudaimoorthy
Co-founder of the ALPAIR Foundation and the ALP Institute of Astrology. With qualifications in D.T.Ed., M.Sc. and B.Ed. and a deep interest in astrology, she is a teacher, administrator and creative storyteller. She gave up her teaching career to drive the ALP movement - leading the administrative team and the publishing of ALP books in multiple languages.
Her constant support, motivation and guidance has been a defining force in steering ALP toward its vision of using technology to take astrology to every household.
